Edward H. Lau, Esq.
Edward is the president and managing partner of Lau & Associates Co. LPA. Edward has been representing families along their immigration journey for over 30 years. Edward's primary focus is on family-based and employment-based immigration. He also practices Removal defense in front of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).
Edward knows the immigration system like many practioners do not. Edward himself immigrated to the United States from China at the young age of 19 years - in an effort to earn a degree, better his life for himself and his future family, and chase the American Dream. As a beneficiary of the immigration process himself, Edward understands the plight of many immigrants, and as such, is uniquely positioned to assist those seeking to immigrate to the United States.
After arriving from China at 19 years of age, Edward attended various community colleges before earning his Bachelors of Arts from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in August 1982. Subsequent to his graduation, Edward finally settled on attending law school. Edward graduated from the Ohio Northern Petit College of Law in 1988.
Following his graduation from law school, Edward began to practice immigration law on his own time - learning the process while he carried another full-time job. Working many late nights and weekends along with being a husband and father to two boys - Edward gained invaluable experience in the field of immigration law. He has represented families along their immigration path now for nearly 25 years.
